After
These are photos of Lake Zurich members
during the deployment to Hurricane Katrina.

The pictures above are from the first deployment to Hurricane
Katrina, and the FF/PM in the first deployment are FF/PM Patty
Schlick and FF/PM Kay Toppel. The second deployment included
Chief Terry Mastandrea, LT. Rob Loyal and FF/PM Dave Santoyo.
This picture was after we lined up before moving up to New
Orleans.

These two pictures are taken at the Fire Academy in Baton
Rouge. These were of our camp site after our 23 and one half
hour ride straight through.

These were of our camp in Tent City in New Orleans. This was
referred to as the Woodland Base.

Pictures around the city.

FF/PM Patty Schlick with President Bush.

These were pictures taken at out Tent City on the Woodland Base
on the property of The Our Lady of Holy Cross Collage campus.
The second picture was of MABAS Division 4 Task Force 3 camp
sight. The fourth picture is of our staging area. You can
see the rigs, port-a-pots and shower tents and shower trailers.
These amenities all arrived near the end of our first week.

Sights from around our Woodland Camp. FF/PM Kay Toppel
walking down to the Mississippi River with Hurricane survivor
Girod who currently is living in Beach Park. Sight along
the way to the river.

This is a barge that was forced upon to the shore. There
were barges upon shore as far as you could see.
Here is a picture of Hurricane Katrina survivor Katrina Hope who
is know residing in Algonquin.
This whole adventure took a toll on every one and every thing.
These are also of the decon operations that ran 24 hours a day
and ever time you went out your rigs had to be decontaminated.
